چکیده

The effect of adsorbent dose and initial concentration on removing the azo-anionic dyes Congo Red andtartrazine present in a synthetic aqueous solution was studied using natural cellulose (CC) modified cationic (MCC) from coconut mesocarp. Three levels dosage (5, 8 12 mg/L) (40, 70 100 were used. Cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CTAC) used as modifying agent. Adsorption of 5.5’-Disulfonicindigotin (5.5’-DI) onto Green Coconut Fiber (Cocos nucifera L.): Kinetic and Isotherms

Green coconut fiber (Cocos nucifera L.) has been largely used in solid-phase extraction. The effect of the initial dye concentration (1.91, 3.02 and 4.02) × 10−5 mol∙L−1 and solid phase contact (SPE) time were evaluated at different temperatures (283, 298 and 313) K at pH 2. Kinetic experimental data were applied to three simplified kinetic models: pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order, and i...

The genome draft of coconut (Cocos nucifera)

Coconut palm (Cocos nucifera,2n = 32), a member of genus Cocos and family Arecaceae (Palmaceae), is an important tropical fruit and oil crop. Currently, coconut palm is cultivated in 93 countries, including Central and South America, East and West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, with a total growth area of more than 12 million hectares [1]. Coconut palm is generally classified i...

KINETIC AND EQUILIBRIUM STUDIES OF ADSORPTION OF LEAD (II) IONS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION USING COIR DUST (Cocos nucifera L.) AND IT’S MODIFIED EXTRACT RESINS

Metal detoxification of waste water and industrial effluents are of increasing importance to industrialization in the twenty first century. The ability of coconut (cocos nucifera L) coir dust (CD), carbohydrate toluenediisocyanate resin (CTR) and sulphonated toluenediisocyanate resin (STR) to remove Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution by ion exchange was studied. Percentage ion exchange efficienc...

Equilibrium modeling and kinetic studies on the adsorption of basic dye by a low-cost adsorbent: coconut (Cocos nucifera) bunch waste.

In this paper, the ability of coconut bunch waste (CBW), an agricultural waste available in large quantity in Malaysia, to remove basic dye (methylene blue) from aqueous solution by adsorption was studied. Batch mode experiments were conducted at 30 degrees C to study the effects of pH and initial concentration of methylene blue (MB). Equilibrium adsorption isotherms and kinetics were investiga...

Adsorption of Anionic Dyes on Poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) Modified Bentonite

A composite based on poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) and sodium bentonite was prepared by a simple method. Structural characterizations of the bentonite and the composite were performed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The TGA analysis showed a low loading of the polymer in the bentonite. XRD analysis confirmed a mod...
